Brief History

Since Safari versions 1.3 and 2.0, the underlying editing features, necessary to make FCKeditor work, have been finally "introduced". This opened the doors to start making the editor available over that browser.

Donations

Thanks to the important donation made by Ben Chestnut from MailChimp.com, we've started a "fund raising" at fundable.org to raise US$1300 to buy a iBook for the development tests. In just two days we had the donations needed to complete it! Amazing! I would also like to thank other donors who participated in this hardware effort: Headstart Solutions Limited, Felix Kaegi, Bert Votsis, DropNet AG and Mutt Software.

Current Status

Safari compatibility has been officially declared as of FCKeditor 2.5 Beta! We would like to thank WebKit and our Community for being with us, working to make this compatibility effort a reality.
